چکیده

Within D=4 N=1 supergravity theory we obtain an effective theory of the thin wall limit for a flat domain wall configuration, interpolating between isolated supersymmetric extrema of the matter potential. We focus on the Z2 symmetric flat wall and derive the supersymmetric effective action both in the bulk and on the wall; in the thin wall limit the scalar field, forming the wall, is frozen, and provides the delta function domain wall source, while its fermionic partner decouples due to its large mass. In addition, the interaction between the gravitational supermultiplet and the interaction of the matter multiplet decouples on the wall. While the results are explicitly demonstrated within N = 1 D = 4 supergravity, we also provide a generalization of the result to D-dimensions.

Determination of Resonance Frequency of Dominant and Higher Order Modes in Thin and Thick Circular Microstrip Patch Antennas with Superstrate by MWM (RESEARCH NOTE)

An accurate model named as the Modified Wolff Model (MWM) is presented as an efficient CAD tool for determination of resonant frequency of the dominant and higher order modes under the multi-layer condition in thin and thick circular microstrip patch antennas. The effects of dielectric cover on the resonant frequency obtained from MWM have been compared against the result of theoretical method ...

Supersymmetric Domain Wall World from D=5 Simple Gauged Supergravity

We provide explicit examples of supersymmetric domain walls of a fivedimensional simple, N=2 U(1) gauged supergravity theory constructed by Gunaydin, Townsend and Sierra. These conformally flat solutions interpolate between supersymmetric isolated anti-deSitter vacua, satisfy the Killing spinor (first order) differential equations, have the energy density related to the cosmological constants o...

Thick self-gravitating plane-symmetric domain walls

We investigate a self-gravitating thick domain wall for a λΦ potential. The system of scalar and Einstein equations admits two types of non-trivial solutions: domain wall solutions and false vacuum-de Sitter solutions. The existence and stability of these solutions depends on the strength of the gravitational interaction of the scalar field, which is characterized by the number ǫ. For ǫ ≪ 1, we...

Gravity Trapping on a Finite Thickness Domain Wall: An Analytic Study

We construct an explicit model of the gravity trapping domain-wall potential, where for the first time we can study explicitly the graviton wave function fluctuations for any thickness of domain wall. A concrete form of the potential depends on one parameter 0 ≤ x ≤ π/2 , which effectively parameterizes the thickness of the domain wall with specific limits x → 0 and x → π/2 2 corresponding to t...

Wall Solution with Weak Gravity Limit in Five Dimensional Supergravity

In five-dimensional supergravity, an exact solution of BPS wall is found for a gravitational deformation of the massive Eguchi-Hanson nonlinear sigma model. The warp factor decreases for both infinities of the extra dimension. Thin wall limit gives the Randall-Sundrum model without fine-tuning of input parameters. We also obtain wall solutions with warp factors which are flat or increasing in o...
